Very entertaining thread, gentlemen.
I am told Bond's Vesper Martini from "Casino Royale" is impossible now. The recipe calls for Kina Lillet, which is no longer available. The white Lillet can be substituted, and it makes a fine drink, but I don't think it's the same. I've heard that Kina Lillet was bitter, but I know almost nothing about it. Perhaps someone can provide a little information.

Might also help to ward off malaria. Another reason for those of us who live in tropical climes--Southern California, for example--to imbibe. I'm told the disease has been eradicated in Newport Beach, but one can't be too careful!
