Question for Leonard Logsdail and Old Henry:
Do you ever get lucky and find yourself easily matching up the stripes WITHOUT torturing the cloth?
Do you try it first to see if it can go together, or is is it not worth the trouble?

Carl , I have never tried , nor have I ever worked with a tailor who even considered it. I wouldnt even want to do it by chance. I want fullness in the back. Frank

If a client asks me to match the stripe I have a standard reply. I do not recommend it, but if you insist, I will. But I cannot be held responsible for what happens after the suit has been worn a few times or cleaned.
