Gentlemen,
I will be attending a wedding next October in Puerto Vallarta, and in thinking about it, I'm getting more confused by the minute. The event will be over an entire weekend with different activities throughout the 2 or 3 days. The first night, the civil ceremony and festivities will take place indoors at a local hotel. The second night, the religious part of it will be held at a church, and then outdoors at the hotel.
I have pretty much made up my mind that I will be wearing linen during the days, although I've read in this forum that perhaps I can get my hands on some white or cream flannels that are cool enough for the weather and the setting. For the night of the religious ceremony I'm thinking of wearing midnight blue tuxedo trousers with an off-white dinner jacket. However, I'm concerned about my attire for the night of the civil ceremony because I do not want to wear a business-type navy suit, but it's my undrstanding at this point that dress code will not be formal attire (black tie) for that specific night. The temperature during that time should be in the high 70s F to mid 80s F or 24 to 30 Degrees Celsius.
I would appreciate any ideas or suggestions you may have.
