Galoshes

Neither bespoke, nor particularly beautiful, but I was asked the question and could not help:

Does anybody know where to find rubber galoshes in London? None of the bespoke bootmakers knew. There are a few sources on the net, but I need a physical shop in London.

I cannot answer the question about London, but if you go to NYC galoshes are a staple of the many shoe repair shops that you find on the side streets. I belive that even Brooks Bros. carry them, and they are returnable.

You could get rubber galoshes (overshoes) at John Lobb (St James); they (probably) charge an arm and a leg:

Try “Michael’s shoe care” at 1 Camomile Street, London EC3 (near Liverpool Street Station).
They have them on display in their window (I did check yesterday).
