I recently picked up a suit made in the 1960s for Edmund de Rothschild, the late chairman of the N.M. Rothschild bank. It's a 3 piece with plus fours (or knickerbockers, whatever you want to call them). If there's any interest i can post pictures of the suit here for discussion.

Here is a first batch of photographs. I'll get some more in the next couple of days. If there are any specific requests for features you'd like to see, i'd be happy to oblige.

Thanks for the images, BK. Just to be sure we are talking of the same Rothschild, you mean Edmund de Rothschild who died last year in London, I suppose. This photo also stems from the 60's.

That's the one. I was told by the person that sold me the suit - must have been in March or April last year - that it had come out of the sale of his estate. I can't imagine there are too many people called "Edmund de Rothschild" going about
He seems quite tall, and possibly portly, in that photo.

Can you do the coat interiior please?
Thanks for posting the pictures. It's interesting how the buttonholes aren't too clean looking.

Yes certainly. I'll get more pictures up early next week. Waistcoat, Interior jacket (I think i remember it having a "poacher's" pocket) and close up details of the buttonholes will be sure to be featured.DFR wrote:Can you do the coat interiior please?

The closeup only shows the back of the buttonholes, which are never 'clean'.fac wrote:Thanks for posting the pictures. It's interesting how the buttonholes aren't too clean looking.
