Hi,

I plan to have a dinner jacket/tuxedo made later this month.
What are the top choices for midnight blue and black fabrics? Would you please submit their pictures and pattern numbers and makes.

So, I ask for LL members' input for suitable fabrics which are worthy of their recommendations to other members. This list could be used as a valuable reference as people usually do not have a DJ made every year.

I propose the fabrics should be categorized by color (Black;Midnight blue) and by weight (>=11oz ; sub 11oz).

Black.
>=11 oz
sub 11 oz

Midnight blue
>= 11 oz
sub 11 oz

OK,

I have narrowed down my fabric search for my DJ project.

Currently, I got a Scabal fabric in barathea weave (please correct me if I am wrong). I was told it is 290grams weight. On the slevedge, it has SCABAL * LONDON * BRUSSELS .

Picture was taken indoor under florescent lighting without flash.

Here, I have placed Richard James Weldon's grosgrain facings (300/2 Black and 300/2 Midnight Blue) against this Scabal fabric. Which combination is preferred?

Given this Scabal fabric, I may opt for the 300/2 Black grosgrain facing. Again, comments please.

Cheers,

Fabrics

The Scabal cloth combined with the black facings will do very well.
