I likely will be in Dublin on business during the latter part of March. Are there any venues in Dublin where a cigar may be enjoyed with a whiskey? I am painfully aware of "The Ban" but cannot believe that there isn't someplace to indulge my vices without offending or breaking the law. Thank you.

Greetings from Dublin. Unfortunately you won't find anywhere that will allow you to smoke a cigar (or at least, you won't find anywhere you would wish to smoke a cigar - you will find places where you can smoke but they wouldn't be cigar and whiskey-type establishments  ). Even smoking 'clubs' don't really exist in Ireland as the legislation was craftily drafted so as to apply to 'places of employment' as opposed to places with employees present. Don't let the ban stop your enjoyment though - many establishments have heated 'outdoor' spaces with comfortable seating - you can indulge in one of the newer Dublin evening activities, 'smirting' i.e. flirting with members of the opposite sex while outside smoking...

Thank you for the information. I look forward to "smirting" almost as much as my beloved Punch Punch and Jameson. Cheers.
