Dear Tazmaniac,
A picture of you from the back and side would be helpful, though frankly speaking this question of photos and bespoke cuts both ways. Its very hard to take a natural stance and every little wrinkle and shiver is magnified into a potential fault. I think you are absolutely on the right track with your suit and work with your tailor.
If you look at your self from the back (the view that permits us to see the beauty of a tailor’s work), you should see something like this as regards shoulder width and conformity:
The shoulder is wide enough to allow a vertical fall from the sleevehead, the Victoria Falls look, we so admire. If there is a sign of buckling in or out on the sleeve, you need to look at the width again with your tailor.
Cheers
Michael Alden

Thank you Michael
It is true that to capture the beauty of tailoring in pictures can be difficult, more so if one has to take the photos with a timer. I will certainly have a look at the back and try to grasp the concept mentioned by you. I feel I am on a good track, but a critical outside view is alway appreciated.
Best, Daniel
