I am a new Guest-member of the forums here and i couldn't think of a better place in the forums for an introduction. My name is Stephen i first became interested in bespoke clothing last year. I am 18 maybe I'm a bit young to afford bespoke but you are never too young to appreciate and learn. I heard about the London lounge through the English cut website. if anyone wants to know more about me just ask.

But you are a trifle young, just yet, to venture into the Absinthe in Paris thread. Keep your memory for as long as you can; now, where was I - or, even, where am I?...

I did most of my growing up near paisley near glasgow i have had alcohol related experiences already trust me...i wont speak of them but lets just say sake is an evil word to me now...might i ask what the AA pictures are and where you find them?

I'm not sure about the AA pictures - but to many LL members, Paisley is most famous for the variant on the Indian Ambi (teardrop) 'paisley' pattern of silks and some other fabrics, which has been developed from very oriental ancient designs. Sake can be a very fine accompaniment to certain oriental foods but it needs, as does Absinthe, a good deal of acknowledgement - especially in the morning.

the council logo i suppose you would call it is two paisley tear drops in an almost yin yang configuration. do you know the images i mean though? like the one of reverse chalkstripe in the cloth club section.

The city's proud industrial heritage plainly lives on!

yes unfortunately a certain political party who shall not be named did their best to destroy trade skills and also other factors have led to it being a shadow of its former self as far as industry goes.

Same goes for many parts of the UK, I am afraid. There is very little actual heavy industry left and what there is is not in British hands. I come from the other end of the land - Cornwall and the china clay industry has just about closed down - because they can mine it more cheaply in Brazil. This is life and, possibly more to do with economic reality, than politicians.

All opinion is free as far as I am concerned and that means freely to be given, debated, accepted or rejected, according to individual conscience but, to any of those (and there might be still some left) who support New Labour - Old Labour having, apparently, been left outside with the Spy who didn't make it In from the Cold - I would say, beware of your increasing and over-regulatory tendencies, which encroach on the personal freedoms for which Great Britain once stood. You are one of the coming generation and, plainly, have views which you are not afraid to express, against all comers and, even for that alone, I salute you and see some hope for a country which, in many ways, I have found it increasingly difficult to recognize as my birth place.

i'm flattered and i dont support new labour i am actually struggling to figure out who is worth supporting and also a lesser evil.
