Any suggestions from the group of things to do and places to stay in Kuala Lumpur? I'll have a little bit of leisure time available during an upcoming trip.

Thanks.

The place to stay is the Mandarin Oriental. Its right smack at the Petronas Twin Towers (once the tallest buildings in the world until Taipei 101 was completed a couple of years ago). Excellent, large rooms, fantastic service. Very beautiful, and for those used to European prices will be pleasantly surprised at the extremely (when you pay the bill you will actually catch yourself smiling at the value for money) good value.

And the place to visit for a sartorial person is PLal - who carries C&J which are actually cheaper than in the UK.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I stated at both the Ritz-Carlton and the Mandarin Oriental during the trips and preferred the MO over the RC. The RC was nice, but it was pretty much an out-of-kit RC that did not fit the surroundings, whereas the MO has some uniqueness to it. Singapore Air's new reconfigurations are also very lovely for long-haul trips.
