Hello -

I have a couple of very functional questions about cleaning that I need some insider knowledge on please..

Firstly, I understand that dry cleaning suits is not the done thing, and as I have recently invested in a couple of new ones that need a seasonal spruce up, could someone direct me to a quality cleaners in London who will look after my wares?

And secondly, I have a Lock & Co cream linen cap with a rather ugly pink stain - could be ink, could be dye... Any idea how could out the damn spot?

Thank you for your time..

Lilliman & Cox are great cleaners at 34 Bruton Mews, London W1. Ask for a steam clean and general spruce-up. For the stain: you really need to identify what is likely to be. If it is founain pen ink, soak it in milk for a day or so and, if biro ink, dab it with ethanol. you could, of, course, ask Janet, at Lock's what to do.

Jeeves of Belgravia are very good. They will also pick up and return if you live in central London - have a look on their website.
