First pictures of LL club shirting

Here are the first pictures of the LL club shirting in a houndstooth pattern. The blues look lovely to me and the threads for the pink look right.

I would like the grape to be slightly more lilac/purple dark.
(Not a big issue as my first order of business is to find a good shirtmaker)

But i do like the two darkest blues, most of all the mid blue.

Risky to evaluate colors in reduced-size images on monitors, but mine is calibrated and with all ambient light off, the middle blue looks excellent. The lighter and darker are a bit green for my preference.

The pink looks close--on the spool it still seems to have a bit of a salmon cast on my monitor, but that may be the light under which it was photographed. For my preferences an icy pink that has no hint of orange (rather towards blue) is best. It may be that this sample is exactly that; if so, it should be fine in terms of light-dark value.

Am I correct that the pattern will be woven at the same scale as the darker shirt you showed next to the suiting? Using the printed text as a scale, these look to be a slightly finer pattern, which could be an illusion. I really liked the scale of your original sample; executed in a very fine weave it would be exquisite. I hope these are not on a smaller scale--there should be detectable pure white in the impression at normal viewing distance to give the cloth luminosity, IMO.

On my PowerBook monitor at home the pink looks cooler--perfect, in fact. The middle blue still looks the best to me.

I, too, like the middle blue best, but the pink's not so appealling.

The pale and middle blue look good to me and I like the scale, if this is an accurate depiction.

The middle looks also good to me.. but I agree with couch on the risk of evaluating a cloth through a computer screen and I don't mean only the colour of it .. Ideally for me a shirting cloth is something that I should feel and see under natural daylight..I tend to take the sample book of shirt makers for a stroll in the sun (of course it's mostly sunny here) . I don't know how easy it would be for me to choose a cloth that I can only see on my screen.. Maybe I will wait for your testimonials.

Such a very good eye you have. Yes, the pictures Giancarlo has posted show a 1.1mm check. My shirt sample has a 1.25 mm check. Not much of a difference but I am going to ask for the slightly larger size for the simple fact that I like the pattern in the sample shirt and always have. And I have never found one I like as much.
