Man has two legs; but money has 4. Man cannot catch money; but Fortune can smile on the man She picks.

It's similar to a gentleman has three legs (including his cane), while a lady has two. A person with three legs usually needs to catch his breath while chasing a young lady.

Amusing, HS; but (other than to contrast with man) I don't understand why money should be accorded precisely four.
