I am very happy to announce the return of LL member Giancarlo Bonfanti to our ranks and the establishment of the Camicia Club on the LL. As many of you will know, Giancarlo is a producer of high quality shirting fabrics that are used by many of fashion’s most prestigious names. These fabrics will be available to LL members via the newly created Camicia Club.

Giancarlo has addressed this message to LL members and guests:

Dear Friends,

After a long absence from the LL, I am glad to be among you once again.
During the last few years my attention has been focused on developing my small artisanal shirting factory and this travail has left me little time to follow the LL's progress and growth.

As you might well imagine an artisan, and I claim with honor this appellation, is challenged daily to defend the quality and value of his products in a market driven largely by price.

I am very happy to announce hard fought successes placing my products with some of the most important fashion brands. But after these successes I realized something was missing, and do you know what it was? It’s pretty simple, the satisfaction of having a large brand buy your products is one thing, but having people who know and understand quality like the members of this club is another.

After a discussion with my friend Alden, we thought that the best way to begin would be to create a space on the site, The Camicia Club, where I can show you every month the shirting fabric designs and patterns that will be my latest issues and you can give me direct feedback and if something is of particular interest you can acquire the fabric via the site.

I am very curious to know what you think of the Bonfanti and London Lounge Camicia Club project and I look forward to reading your comments here or directly to my email at bonfantifabrics@hotmail.it

Cordially
Giancarlo Bonfanti

Every month Giancarlo will present new designs and patterns of shirting fabrics directly to members of the LL. Photos of the products will be shown on this section of the forum and in the Photojournal page dedicated to the Camicia Club.

Over time, the idea will be to make shirts available to members as well as fabric. And we intend on creating a London Lounge exclusive shirting cloth for members.

Stay tuned for these developments and the first edition of shirting fabric pictures in the next weeks.

Best regards,

Michael Alden

Look forward to it. I womnder where one would then ahe the hsirts made... I find most 'makers' in London loathe using supplied fabric, preferring to work on their own.

Yes, that will be the key. If nothing else, the maker needs to know how much the fabric will shrink.

I assume there will be thread count, cotton origin and all other technical data?
This would be most appreciated, thank you.
