Are there different designs for so called "tab adjusters" (if I'm using the incorrect term, please correct me) in order to add girth to my trousers in time of need or when to tighten things when I'm feeling light and airy.

Pictures and explanations of different versions would be greatly appreciated

Mine do a much better job of tightening the waist than of letting it out. You want them flat against the waistband for normal wear so there's not much letting out they can do.

Erasmus and Will, thanks for the reply

As to Erasmus, the links worked out just fine and I got educated on this matter by viewing the older topics

It was pleasant to see the work of Salvatore Ambrosi

Erasmus, if you understand Greek then: Euxaristo Poli
