Quite by fortune, I have acquired a credit note for a modest sum to be spent at bespoke shirt-maker, Emma Willis, in Jermyn Street. Do any members have knowledge or experience to guide me to using this credit at this storekeeper? This month's English GQ features this shirt-maker.
My immediate thoughts are to buy one or two stock items for adaptation. Whilst I would prefer to purchase all my clothing bespoke, I am served well with shirts from alternative storekeepers.
Emma Willis in Jermyn Street
a lovely woman with very good fabrics, personally,
I have a few bespoke shirts from Emma Willis. Good Jermyn Street quality, on occasion a glitch that they put right. The last time I looked prices were creeping north of £250, with (I think) a minimum order of six now.
I love their woven silk ties. About £85.
A beautiful little shop, by far the most pleasant in Jermyn Street, by the way.

Thank you for the replies. I've spoken to Emma Willis on the telephone today and plan to visit and purchase some Oxford cotton shirts as wardrobe staples.
I having a problem with the Emma Willis shop in London with some stock specials. The shirts don't fit and are not what I expected. The shop is not being cooperative on taking back their incorrect goods. I met with them while they (Willis and woman named Barker) were here in New York.
Anybody else having problems with this company?
Thanks.

The problem seems to be working itself out. Thanks to those you responded.
Can someone please tell me whether Emma Willis either makes themselves or outsources (made-to-measure and bespoke)?
Rayner & Sturges (at least they were when I visited the factory the back end of last year).
I own two RTW Emma Willis shirts, I like them very much. I bought them at 50 Pounds each on sale, I thought they were well worth the money at that price. Nice cloth, well constructed and for the french cuffed shirt, the cuff is a good size! (so rare.)
If you are looking at their RTW, you should check each shirt individually. I noticed that they split their selection into formal/dressy and casual. The casual ones seem to have a slightly looser fit and a different collar.

I ordered three bespoke shirts in July 2006. I had one fitting with a trial shirt in December. Last month, I got the last two of them. I am very satisfied with the result. Sleeve length, collar, the cut of body feel just perfect. Construction, including pattern matching (I believe they are cut and sewn at Raynes & Sturges) is very good compared to Harvie & Hudson and some other bespoke shirtmakers that I know of.
It seems that Emma opened her own factory in Glouchestershire: http://www.emmawillis.com/the-factory
Hmmm, Glouchester... isn't a factory of another well-known Jermyn Street shirtmaker situated there?
