EG Shannon, 82 last. I don't think I have ever been quite so besotted with a pair of RTW (or, really, MTO) shoes as I am with these. Yes, I still want the Carminas in cordovan. I think I could boots like this is just about any non-silly color.
The toe shape of 82 is, I think, my favorite RTW last there is.

Manton, can this be worn with Morning or Evening dress as a pair of formal shoes?
Morning, yes. Evening, no.
I am probably more happy than you for these.
Finally someone saw boots as a dressing article as opposed to essential Brazilian rain forest gear!
How long is the wait these days?
Kudos

as Manton mentioned above... not with evening wear. You need to take off the cap and you will be all set. Then use flat silk "ties" with these and you are way up there! But not that you really need it.HappyStroller wrote: can this be worn with Morning or Evening dress as a pair of formal shoes?

I knew this would draw you out. These took about five months to get.
It is a very pleasing shape, gently rounded yet clearly defined, without the sharp exaggeration of all too many lasts.manton wrote:. . . . The toe shape of 82 is, I think, my favorite RTW last there is.
Have you looked at Vass's lasts, Manton? Some (I think particularly of the New Peter, R, 3636, and F) are very appealling in shape, too.
I think I should be getting my pair tomorrow. Looks like they made them in one batch.
i have been considering getting some lace up boots for a while and your have pushed me in favor of getting some whether will or not i dont know but i am tempted! great pic's!
RWS, I love the F last (in theory) and have ordered a pair of boots on that last, for late summer/early fall delivey.
