Rubinacci Ties

I've received a couple of Rubinacci ties recently as gifts. I have to say that I quite like the patterns but found the ties a bit thin. Does anyone know the price they charge for bespoke? Is it comparable to what Charvet charges?

Their knit ties are lovely; a good thickness and width in the tie. I managed to pick up a few while I was in London, they have fast become some of my favourite 'casual' ties.

yes i can secon this too! i also pick yp a couple of knit ties and 1 7 fold i wish i had got a few more now i like that they are slightly narrower than the norm and the knit ties are not over narrow!

That's what a rather well-known clothing afficianado (who I was luck enough to run in to while in London), told me when he recommended me to them.

It's doubtful that Rubinacci actually makes their own silk knit ties. They probably contract out to a specialty mill, just as all the other tiemakers do. Of course the ties are made to their specifications as to color, pattern, dimensions, etc...

from what i was told when i was there in march all if not most of the fabric are vintage from the 30's - 50's

I was told that as well; but I was under the impression that was only for the 7-fold ties.
