If you search the photojournal , Sicilian tailors, image 3 (imgp0562) you will see two jackets on dummies in the background. The blue one is very close to the colour I am suggesting, the other probably close to what you already have.

Loro Piana - Collezione 209 " Mare" 290g two shades ....
art. 209029 the smokey blue I have been referring to.
art. 209028 a lighter shade I think more suited to a DB jacket only (team with white trousers).

Scabal - Pure Linen Bunch 1398 (a white bunch) 280g
art 800131 dun colour. Very appealing! Worn with sky blue shirt would be elegant.

Also worth looking at especially given your interest in cotton in your other current thread are :

Dormeuil - "Naturals " bunch 702
255g Pure cottons in the back of the bunch and
220g Polished cotton ...looks like it would make up into brilliant trousers especially art.885354

I have a Cordings SB linen suit in petrol blue that would look pretty good for a DB as well. Similar to the "smoky blue" suggestion above.

Did I really recommend wearing grey slacks with beige, tan, sand or buff jackets?

It's similar to the difference between a light grey vs. a medium grey, both of which should pair well with your current beige jacket and the tan, sand or buff jacket that I recommend. And tan, sand or buff are very suitable Summer colours.

I have a bespoke SB linen suit in navy. Although when one thinks of linen one tends to imagine lighter colours, navy blue has two distinct advantages - it is versatile (I can wear it casually or for business), and the creases are much less prominent in the darker colour.

Have a look at the W. Bill Irish linen bunch - beautiful cloth which is hard wearing and will crease less than Italian linens.
