Gents,
Finally have the pics ready to post of my Dege and Skinner 2nd fitting. However, I'm uncertain how to use a publicly accessed picture, etc. The directions from the FAQ aren't really quite good enough for me - technically illiterate. They read thusly:

"Can I post Images?
Images can indeed be shown in your posts. However, there is no facility at present for uploading images directly to this board. Therefore you must link to an image stored on a publicly accessible web server, e.g. http://www.some-unknown-place.net/my-picture.gif. You cannot link to pictures stored on your own PC (unless it is a publicly accessible server) nor to images stored behind authentication mechanisms such as Hotmail or Yahoo mailboxes, password-protected sites, etc. To display the image use either the BBCode [img] tag or appropriate HTML (if allowed)."

If anyone can help, I've the three images ready to be added to my thread.

Cheers,
a.

To post photos, use the "Img" button above at the beginning of the URL and at the end of it.

You must upload the photos to a web hosting service. I use imageshack. If you don’t already have an account with them, you will have to create one. http://www.imageshack.us/ After you upload the photos, Imageshack will provide you with the URLs of your photos, with several options depending on what you want to with them. To post in this forum, just copy the entire code for “embeddable images” for each image and paste it right into your post. Test that it works using the “preview” button in the London Lounge post-creator window.

I think that technology is entirely too complicated.

That's why I don't have a phone with a MP3 player. Who can manager all of that?!

It is also a great help if you size the image down so that one is not required to scroll in several direction to see the image in its entirety.

this can be done in various ways, imaging software like photo shop, elements, there are free image management tools with Windows (I am a mac user so I am unable to help on this front) and you may request images shack to down size the image on your behalf in your preferences. I have mine set to "view as 17 inch monitor"

Good luck, if you have difficulty, it would be my pleasure to lend a helping hand.
Looking forward to seeing the images.

Obviously your brain is already distracted and fried by clothing.

I would just learn the minimum needed technology, just enough to get by.

Stick to thinking about clothing, you'll be happier in the long run.
