Savile Row--"hard" shoulder?

Hello all,

I was reading over manton's awesome post at styleforum.com, and this quote stuck out:

"If there were such a thing as "typical Savile Row" it would be: natural shoulder on the shoulder line, roped..."

What if a customer wants a more structured shoulder...perhaps even slightly concave? Would any Savile Row tailor do this...or would it be better to look elsewhere?

thanks...

I think that Maurice Sedwell on Savile Row is always game for trying something a bit out of the ordinary.

If by structure you mean firm, straight, and built-up, have a look at Huntsman.

Kilgour's shoulders are structured and often pitched. The more military inspired tailors, like Dege and Welsh & Jefferies will also make stronger shoulders.

Henry Poole might be worth looking into as well.

The first jacket on the left seems to have a rather structured shoulder.
