Alex Begg Scarves

Dear LL Members

Do any of you know if there is a stockist of Alex Begg scarves in London?

I have tried their website but it hasn't been working properly for several months now! I did contact the company directly by phone, and I was told they would send me details of any local stockists to me by e-mail. This was several weeks ago, and have had no reply!

On the subject of cashmere, I need to purchase one or two neck v neck cashmere sweaters, do members have any particular manufactuers to recommend?

I do not know about manufacturers, but among retailers, Turnbull & Asser has some very tasty sweaters. Priced accordingly.

However, in London there's always the Burlington Arcade, in particular Berk. Horrids has a good selection of Johnstons of Elgin and Ballantyne, among others.

The flat weave don't strike me as being exceptional except for the colors. But their cable knits are nice. I bagged one on sale when they were shuffling the NY store inventory around.
