Maestro Vincente Nicolosi and two clients
I have received a remarkable photo from Ed Hayes that many of you would like to see. Mr Vincente Nicolosi is joined in the photo by two of his clients, Mr. Tom Wolfe and Ed Hayes.
You will assuredly agree that the Sartorial artform is displayed splendidly here.

A sentiment I share wholly, although I must admit that it is Mr. Wolfe's shirt collar that attracted my attention most of all with it's not-often-seen shape.T4phage wrote:What can I say... WOW!!!

On looking an Mr. Wolfe's jacket further... How would he close the jacket? I can see a button on both the outside and the inside of the jacket. So would he close it left side over the right side, or the insides of the left and right side against eachother? If the latter, what effect would that have for the belly and roll of the lapels?

Wolfe's coat is what's called a "link front." It used to be the standard closure on formal coats. It gets rarer and rarer by the year. There is a buttonhole on each side of the coat. The coat is closed via two buttons attached by a short silk braid. It works rather like a cufflink.
Stunningly beautiful clothes. Thanks Ed for sharing with us.
That's the same shirt and tie combo that Wolfe is wearing on the dustjacket of I Am Charlotte Simmons.

How about a new portrait of Messrs. Nicolosi, Wolfe, Hayes, and Merkin?
What's going on with Mr. Wolfe's vest? It looks as if it's pinned closed.
I assume it's not finished and he's there for a fitting.jcusey wrote:What's going on with Mr. Wolfe's vest? It looks as if it's pinned closed.
