Though many of you are tired of my singing the praises of Holland & Sherry’s Crispaire Fresco, I will do it again.

I am fairly sure that a suitcoat made of the H&S fresco was the only suitcoat to survive two wet trips on the Log Flume at Coney Island yesterday. It managed the dunkings with such aplomb that I wore it to the office today with a pair of fawn summer-weight flannels.

New DB from Steed in a blue stripe. Just waiting for the right moment to air it out in public.

I, too, like Crispaire. In fact I have a length on my cutting board to cut today. It is a great cloth.

But, Dopey, I have to ask, what the heck were you doing wearing a Crispaire jacket on a log flume??

It was Memorial Day, unofficial opening day of the season at Coney Island and my daughter wanted to go. The log flume wasn’t planned, but since my daughter said she had graduated from the kiddie rides, I was only too happy to oblige.

Dopey, count me in on the Crispaire crowd. I just spoke with Edwin DeBoise at Steed who told me that a summer gray 3B is on the way - and none too soon. I got off a plane from LaGaurdia to Dulles last night at 9PM and the temperature reading in my car was 83F. A 9oz Lesser saw me through the day. DDM

Will do if some digital photos which were taken yesterday are provided to me by my client in Alabama.

BTW, I didn't pack anything casual so I am quite confident in saying that
mine was the first Caraceni suit to pass through the doors of Greenbrier Bar-B-Q
restaurant of Huntsville, Alabama!
Fabulous stuff.
