The Eyes Have IT

I recently posted one of my headshots on the LL Facebook page. I received quite a few emails from you all and appreciate hearing from you always.

A few of you noticed that the effect of the picture was to draw immediate, deep attention to the eyes. And few of you described how this picture exemplified the message contained in a video I posted on Vimeo quite a few years ago, called “Tell A Story To Dress Well.”

The idea of the video being that an interesting but neutral style of dress leads the viewer to the presence contained in the face and eyes. This is extremely important in a theatrical headshot where an actor wants his character, soul, presence to be felt as immediately as possible to potential employers. But this lesson can also help you to capture the magnetism that is your birthright.
OK the bean counters from Topeka are going to have some laughs. But so would we if we ever saw their faces.
Cheers
