How did George Gershwin, Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong combine to give us all a great lesson in Style? Well individually they all did, didn’t they?
One picture of George sums it all up.
You could devote a library of pictures to Louis Armstrong. He was a legendary jazz performer, actor, singer, and a virtuoso of Style.
Ella? Need we say more?
Well George and his brother Ira wrote a little song. And Ella and Louis used to sing it.
“The way you wear your hat…” is the way you wear your hat. Some crunch it. Some roll and tilt it. Others pull it over their heads and hide in it. But no one wears it exactly like you do. No one. It’s something no one can take away from you.
If you understand this, you have grasped the meaning of Style.
Cheers
