Hand-made buttonhole appears in White House

Hand-made anything in mens clothing is rare in US politics. Ready-to-wear or expensive but cheap-looking suits, and in some cases, truly cheap, clothes have been the order of the day in Washington, so as not to offend the electorate. But now, as the official portrait of the newly elected Vice President of the US clearly shows, there is a what looks like a hand made, possibly Milanese buttonhole on the lapel.

One must also note that, Mark Zuckerberg had a prominent place near the podium at the inauguration. He was caught by the camera without his hoodie, in necktie.
