It appears that for practical as well as theatrical reasons, waistcoat studs are being used as shirt studs, as vintage models are much smaller. This is both a fashion and practical, as they are more secure, and also more visible. Towards the end of the video, the elusive pearl studs, discussed on this forum, are seen.
Also seen, a coat without a buttonhole, and without a pocket, and one that looks like a tailor's work in progress with white stitches.
