Chalk Striped Suit, what tie?

I have a navy, DB flannel, chalk striped suit that I really like. The only trouble is, it really is not complimented with most ties. Anyone have any ideas?

You may be overthinking this one. Choosing a tie for a chalkstripe flannel suit should not be a problem.
But if nothing seems right to you, try small motif/pattern ties in dark blue (for example, or other colors). I love a dk blue plain wool tie, or a dk blue knit tie paired with flannels. You can try other colors too, depending on your shirt choice.....the right shade of brown in a wool tie looks great with blue flannel. Your choices are just short of infinite.
In general I am more keen on the shirt/tie pairing. Get that right and you'll look great. But if you miss it (like 99% of men do) you're lost before you even start..
Cheers

Dear Rodes,
try a burgundy silk tie with a discreet motif.

What the others said about small, repeating motif. The background could be dark green,m burgundy, brown, even a rich yellow-orange.
And a white shirt.

I've got quite an olive skin, and find a pale blue shirt and a vivid lime green tie with a small motif go really well with navy chalk striped flannel.
