Frank Shattuck says : "No front dart...Very old school. Very turn of the century."
The fogey within has been nudging me toward the softer construction, including very natural shoulder and no darts. My tailor happily obliges. Anybody else favoring this "turn of the century" styling?

Anderson & Sheppard do this, more or less. I find I like their DB and 3-b in a lot of cases.
The 2-b requires a certain willingness/ability to taper from the side. I'm more able to accommodate that, these days, having lost some pounds. But I still prefer Steven Hitchcock and a few others for that errand, on the whole.

Dear Samuel,
I have done this many times and posted pictures in the cloths made from cloth club fabrics thread. Mainly with patterned tweed

This one was an exception:

Requires an experienced tailor who also knows to handle his iron
Cheers, David
