What Ali Wore

I came across this photo blog via DP Review, the digital photography site, today:

An Australian girl in Berlin regularly takes pictures of a Turkish tailor she sees every morning, highlighting is outfit. I think it is a very sweet project. He may not win any sartorial prices on this forum, and some/many would not like to mimic his way of dressing, but the continuum of this project reveal a unique sense of style that I find quite endearing, and her wording is often very to the point.
What I like about it is that even in his 80s, he seems to have absorbed 'street wear' and yet also continues to wear classic suits. And even if the cloth and cut are not to what people here aspire to, it seems to define him, his character, without ever having met the man. And that is what an own style is all about, no? Not everyone is a Grant, fortunately.
What do you think?
