I have been considering these for some time now and my wife, does she love me or what, gave me one for Christmas. I am so very pleased with it. Excellent service and great value. The material is a very tight, heavy knit. Varied color choices and unique style. They offer both the classic crew neck and the higher Guernsey neck. A tall size is available for us bean poles and if that is not enough, the body and sleeve length can be made to measure for a reasonable fee. If you are after a sweater that should last for a lifetime, take a look.

These Guernsey sweaters are excellent. I have one in navy blue that is over 30 years old and looks just fine!

I also very much like the same nautical inspired "Breton" sweaters from French maker Saint-James and Armorlux.

If you have to survive real sub zero cold and wet, wear the classic Saint-James long blue roll neck sweater under any coat and you will be WARM!
