Dear members,

for a discussion I was in need of an cartoon lately, but I can't find it online. We had it discussed here years ago, I believe. It's about the white of the waistcoat showing under the tails of white tie.
Could you give me a hand?

Thanks!

As can be seen in vintage illustrations*, the advantage of a tailcoat in the field becomes readily apparent when the trousers are removed.

For this very reason, the waistcoat should not be too low.

* The Secret History of the Tailcoat opines that this was indeed the reason for the cutaway style of the tails in the first place, a cut that was initially seen as risqué.
