Totally agree! You can often hear people say 'he's rich/handsome (or some positive attribute that the world strives for) but he is so impolite/bad mannered', but you never hear (or just outright stupid to say) that 'he has such good manners but he's poor/ugly/whatever'... Good manners do take a man a very long way.
