very nice posting! And I agree with you.

While I would not entirely renounce on commissioning 3-piece suits, I always have things ready to mix in - be it a waistcoat in a different cloth and colour, be it a cardigan, a vest or a V-neck sweater. It is a nice way to be playful with a suit. With a small additional investment, any otherwise rather normal suit becomes much more versatile.

I agree, if the suit has a more weekend look about it. However, I would think it important to ensure that your tie doesn't show through it and that it covers your waistband.
