Let's twist again

I have two suits made from J & J Minnis' twist suiting collection Dorchester. I see they now they stop making it. What's going on? To me twist cloth is at the very heart of English cloth making. True, twist cloth is harder and more scratchy than most worsted cloth but twist drapes like nothing else. For instance, I'll bet that Michael's fabolous grey suit is made from good old twist :) :?:

I recently made myself a suit out of the Dorchester and was a little underwhelmed by it.

jeffreyd,
Are there other high twist cloths that you seen and used satisfactorily? I've come across some from Brooke Taverner and Bateman Ogden that caught my attention because of their texture and subtle colour nature of the fancy stripes/checks.

jefferyd, it looks great.

I have several lengths from the Cloth Club but not the Mistral. It looks quite sturdy. Is it twist like? http://www.thelondonlounge.net/forum/vi ... =43&t=9037

It's interesting to compare the Dorchester with the Brisa: Both are woven on high twisted yarns, and they are medium weight, but outcomes are completly different. The Brisa is an open weave, perfectly suited for a summer suit or travel suit. The Dorchester is very dense and runs hot above 18 degrees celsius. Not for summer at all.
