Summer is coming, and my thoughts turn to summer suits. There are quite of few threads that include some thoughts on mohair. Nevertheless, why not drill down a bit more. Which is your favorite cloth maker for mohair and wool summer suitings? What ratio of mohair to wool, 30 percent . . . more . . . less?

I have just had a very nice one made up in olive green from a Smith's Woollens book. Can't remember the name of the book or the percentages, which is not terribly helpful, but it's a place to start. Doesn't have the shine that one associates with mohair.

Thanks. Smith's, and Scabal for that matter, make some good mohair suitings. I was just wondering if there were other happy finds. A smidge of lustre is fine with me, not an evening sheen mind you, but just a bit for day wear is a nice change. Thirty percent has worked for me in the past to provide a hint of lustre as well as desirable crispness; I do not have experience with a different mix.
