In 1992, I had my first bespoke suit. This is it.
My tailor gave it another life. I am pleased with his work.

In Taiwan, Year 81 means 1992. So, 81.6 means 1992 June.

Look, my DB jacket was taken apart after 17 years.

My 1992 DB jacket on me in 2010. The jacket is now shorter. Lapels are higher.

The lapels size is larger than what one might find nowadays. I like those lapels. I suppose they could be narrowed slightly. And I think that the lower button placement could be a bit higher for me future DB suit jacket.

Comments about this jacket's shape, length and width of lapel, please.

Cheers,

Fabric, I remember your query some time ago regarding the possibility to alter the coat - I think the plastic surgery was successful. I would do one more thing: I would bring in the two upper buttons so they would form a square with the lower ones. What do you think?

I have to admit that I liked the original version better. In fact, I don't see what was wrong with it. The squareness of the shoulders in the new iteration just don't seem very harmonious with the rest of the jacket, which generally seems less shapely. Also, I disagree with Costi: I like the top row of buttons further apart. As they are in relation to the bottom row now, they imply shape and emphasize the trimness of your waist.

So, I requested my tailor to replace a new set of buttons. Also, I took Costi's suggestion. Now those four buttons are positioned like four corners of a square. And I have decided that this is my db blue blazer.

I did not wear my jacket quite properly. That explains why my jacket's left side is a tad higher than my jacket's right side.
