Hell all
I am new here. Oh, what a nice forum, so much to read and learn for me.
I do like the good old day`s, when people did dress for work, dinner and so. I am a bit sad, that those day`s are "gone". But, thats not stopping me.
So, a tuxedo, and all the other names it got.
Back in the "golden" year`s of the tuxedo, it was not, as many think, a formal wear. It was for party, gambling at the casino, going out outfit.
Today, sorry to say, more and more people think it is only for wedding`s or formal dinner party`s. Witch, the original is not meant to be used for at all.
Like all jacket`s and pant`s,, the style have change over the years.
So, what was the tuxedo style in the 20`s-30`s?
I am interested in these because I am thinking of having a tuxedo made for me, with the "original" look. I like to have a vest, and I think a double breasted jacket. But, it HAS to be a look from that time period.
So all, anyone know what the tuxedo did look like back then? Photos? Ideas, inputs, on the style and so?
All help, information is good for me.
Have a good evening.
