Michael,

Capturing imagination of whole nations... one country at a time? :)

By the way, there is a picture of Mr Akamine in the blog with an interesting (and not so rare these days) cut of shirt's cuff:

As you can see, the curves are quite dynamic, so we see a visible "interruption" of the cuff.

I still can't decide if I like this or not.

For those interested, here is a quick translation of Mr. Akamine's posting on his blog:

"As in previous years I have been away to the fall-winter 2010 edition of Première Vision, the international textile fair held in Paris.

I met again with Mr. Alden, whom I also met last year in London and Paris, and we had a hearty conversation exchanging enthusiastic thoughts on each other’s clothes so that we even forgot about time.

Mr. Alden is an American born cosmopolitan of English and French descent, one who pursues the utmost male elegance. He is a man who has clothes made in ateliers of his own, having sought out genuine Sicilian bespoke tailors (sartoria) and original ways to make cloth.

With the London Lounge as his medium, he sends out messages to the gentlemen of the world. Together with a snap shot of us eagerly discussing the fundamentals of male elegance with Mr. Jean-Claude Charvet, president of the long-established Paris store Charvet and also a member of the LL, I have the pleasure to introduce you to Mr. Alden’s site, the London Lounge."
