Is your loved one ready for Fall and Winter? Mine is…

This almost completed overcoat is a 2 x 1 DB shawl collar with a removable belt.

The tweed is a 1980s vintage, 21 ozs, large format, black and white Houndstooth from Hunter’s of Brora.

Good heavens Michael! that check is huge! BTW are you sure it is shepherd's check? Looks like good ol' houndstooth to me. :) Sorry I had to mention that. Lol

Something puzzles me about that OC, but not the huge houndtooth pattern. Has the photo been reproduced as a mirror image? I thought the coat should close the other way round.

Marcelo,

I believe it is a coat for a lady -- hence the right-over-left buttoning.

Indeed, it explains everything - not only the right-over-left buttoning.

Fall must be late where the Aldens spend the last months of the year. On this thread, Michael says it is a Christmas present - http://www.thelondonlounge.net/forum/vi ... =34&t=9095. A long or late summer in Paris or Sicily this year? 8)
