Gentlemen,
A cobbler from Russia, Valeriy Mahmutov, asked me to post here pictures of his work.
He is very interested in your opinions; fellow shoemakers are especially welcome to chime in.
Andrey
P.S.: I'm not his client nor buisness associate... Actually, we haven't met yet.

Nice boots, indeed. Do they qualify as "Juchtenstiefel", that it as boots made with the traditional Russian leather?

Bishop of Briggs, he makes everything. Though I don't think he makes shoes for living... yet. As far as I know, he struggles to convert shoemaking from half-hobby (which it is now) to a for-living activity.
Marcelo, I don't know... I can ask, if you wish.
DeepDiver, no, he is from south of Russia. You can contact him at ledi1954 at mail.ru.

Thanks, Andrey. Indeed, it would like to have some information on that kind of leather.

Marcelo, I asked your question to Valeriy. It seems that this is an ordinary calf leather, not special one.
