What type of cloth is this?

I came across this image and the cloth caught my eyes. Interesting pattern. Is it some sort of tweed?

It is a broken herringbone, in which a barleycorn section interrupts the herringbone pattern. Actually, in this version, it looks like the barleycorn simply substitutes for one direction of the herringbone.

Many thanks for the replies. It creates some visual interest, but I am not sure whether I find it interesting in the positive sense.
