A few weeks ago I got the idea to order a bespoke bowtie from the blue LL silk.
So I went to Charvet and place the order and today my bowtie arrived, and here are some pictures from the LL silk bowtie.

If you ordered it bespoke, why didn't you get it sized correctly (rather than with an adjustable slide)?

He is not adjustable. He is made in the correctly size for my neck.

I see. I mistook the ripple on the left side for a slide buckle. But why the hook? Why would you want to unsnap the tie?

I have some Charvet bow ties, and the hook and eye is an annoying feature. They can come loose after a while and unbuckle too easily unless you constantly rebend the hook.

Tim, I didn't know that there were additional LL colors.

You also have red and grey.
In the LL silk topic you can find a few pictures from samples of the fabrics.

It is really nice silk.

Tim, help me out. i found two threads on the charvet ties, a discussion of colors but no pictures. I'm probably just being useless this evening, can you point out the thread? D

Very nice, Tim. I asked a few months ago about doing the very same thing and this is the response I received:

Dear Garu,
Concerning the fabric used for the LL tie, yes, we can do a bowtie in it.
But a word of caution is needed: this fabric has a lot of raised which could be caught by a 3 days beard. It is up to you to consider if such a thing coul happen to you...
Let us know how it turns out!

Ta,
garu

I have looked at the LL silk topic but I can't find it anymore..
But I am sure I saw somewhere a post from Monsieur Colban where he showed the new silks.
Maybe you can send him a Private message to ask for pictures of the silk.
