Hello! New member here. I'm a relatively young man (college age) but am fascinated by the sartorial elegance displayed in the magazines of the Golden Era.

Recently I was looking through my local university's microfilm copies of the 1930's Esquire and Apparel Arts (there's nowhere in this relatively small town that has actual back issues, sadly). Since the microfilm is in black and white, I was able to perceive the colors shown in the illustrations only through their descriptive text.

In those magazines I saw a description of an odd shade for summer dinner jackets - something called "Bangkok shade". Now, I've read Etutee's fabulous articles and seen mention of the Burma shade, but I had never before encountered this mention of Bangkok.

Does anyone have any color pictures which might prove useful in illuminating this sartorial mystery?
