That looks like a fine shoe. May I ask how much the firm charges?

In this case, the cost was 400 Eur. plus 20 for shipping (and 60 Eur. for a matching belt which isn't ready yet).

The shoe looks very fine, indeed. Do Vass no longer fiddle the waist of the "U" last? (A pair of ready-mades that I bought a few years ago have beautifully fiddled waists.) Go ahead, no Arabs here -- show us the soles!

I'll take some pics of the soles later. The waists are radiused, but not fiddled.

You mention their fax number but I cannot find it on their website. Could you post it here please? The website pages displaying shoes are also "under construction". Did you choose from a catalogue or had you been able to visit the shop in person beforehand?

Do they only quote in Euros? I'd imagine that they would be receptive to Forints if you pushed them on it.

A very handsome pair of well made shoes. I wish you many good years of use.
I can think of many good looking suits along with odd trousers & sport jacket combos that whould look great with those wing tips.
Best Regards,

Very nice pair of shoes! Did the price include the shoe trees or they had to be acquired separately?

Beautiful...the curves are so sensuous.
Did you go to have them made? or just quoted your size?

Very nice shoes indeed..!! Do they fit ? !!
Can you tell us a bit more about how it works? I have been thinking of trying Vass but I don't think going over there is something I can do right now. So, do they have a catalog from which u have chosen this model / last? How long do they take to make a pair of MTO?
The price is sounds cool and refreshing too !!
Kind regrads

Grrrr... I just lost my post...

This is their site. To order, you send a fax with exactly what you want based on their terminology (for fax orders, I think it pays to stay simple), i.e., shoe shape, last, color, leather type. There's a number of pics on their site and some can also be found on StyleForum. Eva Vass will send you an email asking you to confirm the order, giving you a quote, etc. Once you agree, they start production and recontact you once the shoes are ready (a few weeks later, 5 in my case). They give you their bank info, you wire the money, and they send you the shoes.
I've been told that they size similar to C&J if you have feet that fit in width E or D, which was my case, so I just ordered the same size I am in C&J.
