A friend sent me this picture and asked for my comment...what do you guys think of Roger's suit...
interesting features:
1. epaulets
2. cuffs on coat
3. fit looks superb
4. length, cut excellent
5. balooning patch pockets with flaps
What do you think of correct-ness? More fashion than old style?

It's strange, but I can't see the photo.
From your description, I guess it could be retrocentric either to Davy Crocket, Wild Bill Hitchcock or Napoleon Bonaparte. On the other hand, it might be just right for an hotel door attendant or a miltary brass band, for which the addition of the kind of French cap worn by General deGaule, white gloves and white spats or white plastic boots look smart.

Cuffs on the sleeve, of the kind on Mr Bond’s coat, have been the subject matter of another thread, viz.:

It would be interesting to know whether his trousers also have cuffs (or turn-ups). The trouser, it seems, should also have cuffs in this case in order to coordinate with the cuffs on the sleeves. As for the epaulets, I am not sure the coat at issue here really has this feature. Apparently, not.
