I tell you what, I like the look of that tweed sports jacket with the bold check. That is a beautiful cloth.

I love the grey overcoat with navy/green window-pane check. Those lapels are just perfect in width, length, inclination and curve, for a double-breasted tweed overcoat.

Just to mention, these days I've been going for a walk in the woods and I've been surprised to notice that the Spanish meseta/steppe right now after the summer, looks a lot like (nearly identical) the photographs of Scotland posted by Alden in "The whys and wherefores of Tweed". Reds, yellows, blue sky but also grey clouds, and greens every now and then... Astonishing to find such different places could look similar.

Thanks for the hint! The beautiful cheviot coat shown on the second page of the PDF catalogue seemed familiar; not, alas, that I had forgotten I had one in my wardrobe, but because it is also shown in the last issue of the online publication Savile Row Style Magazine:

Does anyone know what RA is doing with Strickland & Sons?

He owns it and may be using the name to sell a RTW line made to lower spec than stuff sold under his own name, but you might want to ask directly. I seem to recall reading somewhere about the launch of Strickland & Sons RTW. As you may know many times a tailoring house has its goodwill and customer list as its only assets, so there may not be much of Strickland to "do" anything with apart from the name.

I would also suggest talking to RA directly about this if you are curious, or if you are curious about RA, talking to current customers of his.
