I have been in Beverly Hills all week, and was looking at some new Draper's books. They have an interesting 12 ounce range, for suiting, in solids, stripes, and at least one windowpane (that would work for jacketing). The cloth is quite porous, feels much lighter than 12 ounces, and seems to resist creasing. I have never been partial to fresco, but this was very, very, nice. The range is called "Ascot" by Drapers (Bologna). It is not widely distributed, but tailors can get it through their Jodek Rep. The windowpane is on a very dark navy ground, very handsome.
