Until you find exactly what you are after,
I have successfully used an unscented, non colored, pure soap bar.

Aah, good old Humphrey Lyttleton, god rest his soul! A regular on the trumpet at my local pub in Barnes, the Bulls Head. :D

Good old Humph. I didn't know about the pub playing. I would have gone. Saw/heard him at Ronnie's though - so far as you could see anything in the wonderful fug.

Laundry soap

I can't imagine that it is crucial to use a particular brand of soap - any good, plain laundry soap should do the trick.

As others have noted, make sure that you use one that is unscented and as natural as possible.

I've used a variety of soaps over the years, but one worth remembering is good old Sunlight soap - supposedly as pure as sunlight!
